We are very excited to welcome Clopsville Rico Chico JW (imp UK) to Australia. Chico is jointly owned by Linda Hennessy and Marilyn Madigan of Merseyport Cavaliers. We are very grateful to Chico's breeder, Jean Salisbury of Clopsville Cavaliers, for allowing Chico to come to Australia. Chico's father is one of our favourites, Eng Ch Aranel Cosmic. Cosmic's progeny are proving very sucessful in the UK. Chico's mother, Fizz, is an equally gorgeous typey Cavalier, with the prettiest of heads.
We are very excited that Chico is proving to be a wonderful sire, with numerous Specialty Class winning children from his limited Australian litters to date, including; Ceellen Cinderella, Merseyport Abbey Road, Ch Merseyport Cherie Amour and BISS Ch Woodhay Mersey Lass.
In the UK, his son Pascavale Bailey (2 CCs) is a multiple class winner, including RCC at Crufts 2010.
Chico has clear Heart and Eye certificates, a better than average hip score, and has been MRI'ed, which has been graded 'A'.
In the UK Chico was a multiple Championship show class winner, including 1 RCC from the Puppy Class.
2009 saw Chico perform extremely well at Specialty shows:
- CKCS Club of Vic - Opp Limit in Show (just two weeks out of quarantine
- CKCS Club of Qld - Reserve Challenge Dog & Limit in Show
- CKCS Club of NSW - Limit in Show
Chico had limited show ring outings in 2010 due to me being pregnant. Now we have the issue of getting to shows with a baby, however, Chico did attend the CKCS Club of Qld Specialty show in 2011 and was Reserve Dog Challenge and Best Open in Show. Shortly after he gained his Australian Champion title.
Chico is a proven sire in the UK, and we are pleased to now make Chico available at stud to approved, health tested bitches. Enquiries can be directed to either Linda or Marilyn.
